All classes must be booked in advance through our booking platform. Your booking reserves your place in the class and allows us to plan our instructors, capacity and studio operations.
Please arrive on time. If you arrive late, you may be refused entry if the instructor considers it unsafe or disruptive to the class. This will generally be treated as a late cancellation or non-attendance.
Classes may be changed, rescheduled or cancelled by Heat when necessary. If we need to cancel a class, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected clients and provide an appropriate alternative where possible.
-
We understand that plans change, but late cancellations and missed classes have a direct impact on our small studio and prevent other clients from taking those spaces.
Bookings must be cancelled at least 2 hours before class to avoid a late cancellation fee.
Our current fees are:
Late cancellation: $5
No-show: $10
These fees may be charged automatically to the payment method saved to your account.
If you regularly cancel late or fail to attend booked classes, Heat may review or restrict your booking privileges.
-
Memberships are billed weekly unless otherwise stated.
Memberships do not have a fixed contract period unless specifically stated at the time of purchase. Memberships can be cancelled by providing 2 weeks' notice.
During the notice period, normal membership payments continue and you may continue attending classes in accordance with your membership.
Memberships are personal and cannot be transferred or shared with another person.
-
Cancellation requests must be submitted directly to Heat and are subject to the required 2-week notice period.
The cancellation date will be calculated from the date Heat receives the cancellation request, unless otherwise agreed by Heat.
Any outstanding payments must be settled before a cancellation can be finalised.
If you are considering cancelling because you are temporarily unable to attend, we may be able to offer a membership freeze instead.
-
Memberships may be frozen for up to 4 weeks per calendar year at no charge.
Additional freeze time may be available at $5 per week, subject to our membership system and approval.
Freeze requests should be submitted at least 5 days before the requested start date.
Freeze periods must be approved by Heat and cannot be applied retrospectively unless agreed by us.
Where an additional freeze fee applies, this fee may be charged when the freeze is arranged rather than during the frozen period.
-
You are responsible for ensuring that your nominated payment method is valid and has sufficient funds available when your membership payment is due.
If a payment fails, our payment system may automatically retry the payment.
Any applicable failed-payment, administration or processing fees will be communicated to members and charged in accordance with our current fee schedule.
If your account has an outstanding balance, Heat may restrict further bookings or require the balance to be paid before allowing continued access to membership services.
-
Membership and class prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may change from time to time.
Where a membership price changes, reasonable notice will be provided.
Unless otherwise stated, the membership price communicated by Heat is the amount payable for the membership and any applicable payment processing costs will be disclosed before payment.
Promotional, introductory or legacy membership rates may have different terms and may not be available to new members.
-
Class packs and credits are personal to the purchaser and cannot be transferred unless approved by Heat.
Unless a specific expiry date is stated at the time of purchase, standard Heat class packs do not expire.
Class credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Where Heat agrees to convert a membership payment into class credits, the number and value of credits will be determined by Heat based on the applicable class rate.
-
Introductory offers are available to eligible new clients only and may be subject to specific terms, expiry periods or booking restrictions.
Introductory offers cannot generally be combined with other promotions.
Heat reserves the right to determine eligibility for introductory offers and to withdraw or amend an offer where it has been misused.
-
You participate in classes at your own risk.
You must notify your instructor before class of any injury, medical condition, pregnancy, recent surgery or other circumstance that may affect your ability to safely participate.
You are responsible for informing your instructor of any relevant limitations or changes to your health.
Our instructors may modify or recommend that you avoid an exercise where they believe it may not be appropriate for you.
If you are unsure whether a class is suitable for you, you should seek appropriate medical or professional advice before participating.
Heat does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
-
Some Heat classes take place in a heated environment.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are adequately hydrated and able to safely participate in a heated class.
If you feel unwell, dizzy, nauseous, unusually fatigued or otherwise uncomfortable during a class, stop exercising and notify your instructor immediately.
Heat may refuse participation where we reasonably believe a person is not fit to safely participate in a heated class.
-
We want Heat to be a welcoming, respectful and inclusive space.
Clients are expected to treat instructors, staff and other members respectfully.
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, inappropriate conduct or behaviour that negatively affects the safety or experience of others will not be tolerated.
Heat reserves the right to refuse service or cancel a membership where serious or repeated inappropriate behaviour occurs.
-
Clients are responsible for their own belongings while at the studio.
Heat is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal items except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Please avoid bringing valuable items into the studio where possible.
-
Heat may occasionally photograph or film classes, events or activities for marketing and social media purposes.
Where practical, we will notify clients when filming is taking place.
If you do not wish to appear in Heat marketing or promotional material, please let a staff member know.
-
Certain classes or programs may have specific age requirements.
Where a participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian may be required to provide consent and accept these Terms & Conditions on their behalf.
Children must only attend classes or areas of the studio where Heat has specifically permitted them to do so.
-
Events, workshops and special classes may have separate booking, cancellation and refund conditions.
These conditions will be communicated at the time of booking and will apply in addition to these Terms & Conditions.
-
Payments for memberships, classes, packs, workshops and events are generally non-refundable once purchased, except where required by Australian Consumer Law or otherwise agreed by Heat.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
-
Heat may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, pricing, policies or legal requirements.
Where a change materially affects an existing membership, we will provide appropriate notice where required.
-
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
Where a provision of these Terms & Conditions is inconsistent with a mandatory legal requirement, that legal requirement will prevail.
-
If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions, your membership or your account, please contact Heat Byron Bay directly.
